HAPPY NEW YEAR!    Please keep an eye on the Weather forecast and be aware that the temperature will be below freezing the next few days and you will need to take freeze precautions.

  When the weather gets this cold  it is necessary to take measures to protect your home from freeze damage.

Below freezing temperatures bring new responsibilities. Please Cover all of your outside water spigots. You may use the styrofoam covers they sell specifically for that purpose. Or you my use a cotton towel covered by a plastic bag, and some duct tape. Either way it is important to keep sub zero winds from freezing the water inside those pipes.

It is also necessary to drip water faucets that are on an outside wall, and open the cabinet doors under those sinks so inside heat gets to those pipes.

Please remember to change your heater intake filter monthly! It is just as important to keep a fresh, clean filter in the winter as it is in the summer.

       These few preventative measures will help to keep your pipes from freezing, and your heater in top working condition, and will help keep your house warm all winter long.
